We recommend starting with a temperature of around 15°C (59° Fahrenheit) for your ice water bath if this is your first time, then gradually lowering the temperature and duration for each session. This way your body will get used to the cold.
For the more seasoned enthusiast, lower the water temperature to less than 50°F to really feel the shock, and stay there for at least 2 minutes for optimal benefits.
As each individual is different, some people can tolerate lower temperatures.
